Thinkport Technology

This week, we were to view the website www.thinkport.org/Technology/simulations.tp. We were to investigate some of the simulations. Unfortunately, the simulations link was broken but I viewed the main website itself. Two of the parts of the site I would use would be the Think Classroom and Think Technology parts. The Think Classroom page had many lesson plans that I could use in my instruction. It had videos that could be used along with lessons that I am already teaching. There were many different links to different internet sites that would be valuable. There was also a page with various themes that provided more information and resources on those themes.

The Think Technology offered many resources that I could use in instruction. There was a whole page devoted to graphic organizers that could be downloaded. We use many graphic organizers in reading and in science and social studies. There was also a games page which included different links to games that could be played online or customized to fit our classroom. There were podcasts and videos on many different subjects that could be used as resources in order to include those subjects in our teaching.
